About us

At the Wade Academies, we strive to bring together the ideas and commitment of a diverse community of students, teachers, staff, administration, and families. MS 117 serves approximately 420 students in grades 6-8, in general education, bilingual education, special education, and integrated team-teaching classes. We are a co-ed middle school located in the Mt. Hope District in the Bronx.

Courses Offered

The following courses are offered Joseph H. Wade Academies:

Core Subjects: English Language Arts (ELA), Math, Social Studies, and Science

Additional Courses for our Bilingual Students:

Home Language Arts (HLA), English as a New Language (ENL)

Elective Courses:

Technology, Dance, Physical Education, Robotics, School Newspaper, Sports Clubs, Test Preparation.
